  1. Currently I have the Rx7 setup in my main room. I currently have an extra pair of RF-35 towers as well. I don't have room to do 7.1 or I'd use both. Should I switch out the RS7s for towers in the rear or just leave it?
  2. That is kinda what I expect is the problem. I have a mess of wire back there. I'm using all heavily shielded power cords (except for dvd player) and z-series interconnects so I thought I would be ok, but I guess not. I'll try rerouting all my cabling tonight and see if it helps.
  3. Currently I'm running the Rx7 setup and I seem to get a buzzing out of all channels. It's not noticable except during quite scenes or down time, but it drives me nuts. I've tried everything from fancy power cords (believing that it could be giving of emi or something to my interconnects) to z-series interconnects and a HTPS 7000 sig power conditioner. I'm really flustered. My next move is to try another amp, but I'm hessitant to go blow a bunch of cash on amps again. Is this something I can fix or are the RF7s just too sensitive that it is kinda unavoidable?? HELP!!!
  4. You didn't have to go to best buy, you could have bought a RW12 or RW10 from your local dealer. When BB aquired the Klipsch Synergy line, Klipsch rolled out a whole line of entry level refrence products to fill the gap that the loss of synergy left in their local dealers.
  5. I have a pair of RF-35s and a LF-10 sub that I was looking to sell. Ran into a local buyer, he came and auditioned and really liked the speakers, but came back with an offer of $500 for all three. I balked at this and sent him away. Other than him I've gotten little response when I tried to sell locally. Am I wrong to expect to get 1/2 retail out a a pair of speakers in mint condition (w/ all packaging) purchased through a legit dealer?? What's a fair price?
  6. Yes I still have the sub and both towers.
  7. RC3 center channel is sold, still have RF35 towers and LF10 subwoofer available.
  8. I don't have room for two big systems, so I need to part ways with one of them. I have a pair of RF-35s in black, purchased from Ultimate Electronics (authorized) as well as all origional packaging material, manuals, and boxes. Also for sale is a RC3-II center channel (also from Ultimate, have origional box and manual) and an LF-10 subwoofer (no box). all are in pristine condition with the exception of the grill on the RC3-II which has a broken peg, which I just never bothered to glue. I got my RF7 setup a few months after getting these so they've gotten little use (have been my computer speakers for a while now). I live in MN and would prefer local pick / delivery, what would consider shipping. I can't get the pictures to show up, so here's a link: http://community.webshots.com/album/410908929fiyeTw I was hoping for $550 for the towers (pair), $175 for the center, and $300 for the sub, but will consider any reasonable offer.
  9. Did you have to upgrade the firmware or did you buy it as a 2.0?
  10. Thanks, I will most likely take you up on that. What firmware revision are you using? I saw that one has Pro Logic IIx and one doesn't.
  11. Finally pulled the trigger. I got a NAD T-163 pre-amp, which will be here friday. I really wanted an Anthem AVM-30, but the dealer wouldn't budge off msrp and I got the NAD at a steal of a price (a friend of mine is a dealer). Can't wait.
  12. I can upgrade the firmware via rs232 port anyway though right? The only feature I really wish it had was video upconversion which would be great.
  13. A friend on mine is a NAD dealer and he has a open box T-163 preamp that he can get me for $720. This seems like a stellar deal. Should I grab this or wait and get an anthem? The NAD sounds good but is very lite on features.
  14. If their cost structure is the same as the dealer I used to work for, expect to pay about $710 per speaker. The only thing though is that I want to say that map (minimum advertised price) on these speakers is somewhere around $850 or $900 so I'm not sure how they're pulling this sale off, but oh well.
  15. I couldn't get that America song out of my head for a week.
  16. Bummer I just bought my RF7s a few months ago. Oh well, time to upgrade soon I guess.
  17. I faced the same decision a few months ago and finally deceided on a little of both. I did the RF7 mains, RC7, and RS7s mated with (2) Ultra 2 subs and have been vary happy. I will admit that I liked the Ultra 2 beter for movies, but the RF7s rocked them in music. Both are excellent speakers although the Ultra 2 also has the cool factor going for it because it is fairly rare.
  18. I've had mine for a couple of months now and have been very pleased. I was origionally looking at doing two of the RSW 12 subs, but I 'm glad I went with the THX. Very smooth. Every sub I have ever owned before has been boomy, so this was quite a delight when I got it set up. TheEAR..... you might as well order them.
  19. It's not so much that I was a fan of Monster, it was more an issue of being able to buy it through an accomidation program (at which time it is only moderately overpriced instead of extremely over priced). It actually isn't that bad of stuff for what I paid for it. My only complaint with the amps is that they are too deep and make finding a decent rack dificult.
  20. The RC7 is 12 pounds over the weight limit on the shelf. Do you think that will be ok?

Awesome tv, but I have no room for a big CRT rear pro. Plus my sub would have had to have been right next to the tv and I worried it might mess with the convergance a bit.
  22. Yeah it really bothers me that the shelf in about a milimeter too short to squeeze the RC7 in. It really limits what TV I can get unless I want to replace the stand as well.
  23. Just moved into a new apartment and finally got my HT set back up. Unfortunately my Pioneer Elite was lost in the move so my 27" Toshiba will have to suffice until I can get something new.
