  1. I happen to like the sound bar a lot. It has more than enough bass for my area that I watch TV and listen to music. Although the Surround 3's are very low volume. I had one fail recently. It started having far lower than usually volume. It was barely audible with a lot of hissing static noise. I've spoken to Klipsch and I'm wait for them to verify my purchase from Amazon. For a replacement. Hopefully the new ones will have louder audio than the ones I had. I could barely notice them until I hit about 50% volume which is much to loud for my living situation. I rent in a smaller house the whole second floor of a nice home. It makes the paintings shake on the walls downstairs at that volume. The people I rent from are elderly and don't really watch TV. It is way to loud for them at that volume. I even used acoustic panels to lessen the volume perceived downstairs. I can't turn up the adjustment any more than 4 dots on the soundbar for the Surround 3's. Is there any way to improve that? I was also curious about improving my input audio to the soundbar. I use a pretty decent HDMI cable that's speed is 48gb per second from my computer. Is there an HDMI DAC with video pass through or am I stuck only using a DAC with the 3.5mm aux input. If using a conventional decent but no where near high quality balanced 3.5mm cable. It made for a much lower volume output from the soundbar compared to the ARC audio connection. I use it from my desktop PC into my TCL QLED TV. Then into the soundbar to take advantage of the TV's remote since I'm limited on desktop space. I have no expansion options on my desk due to the unusual cut out area built into the home I rent from. Is the aux 3.5mm input on the soundbar low quality or is it an inferior cable and DAC? I know the PC integrated DAC sucks but I made a small improvement using Equalizer APO using the Peace GUI and HeSuVi plug in software. It's short for Headphone Surround Virtualizations for Equalizer APO. Works great on headphones but with the quality of the connection to 3.5mm input on soundbar. Be it the cable, integrated DAC, or the aux jack to the soundbar is way to low compared to ARC HDMI. I do have plans to put a high quality sound card into my PC in the near future. Although it doesn't have HDMI and using that companies software will make a ton of improvement. Given no HDMI output. I seriously doubt the software will make much difference on the integrated HDMI output from the PC. What are my options using a DAC? I don't think many. I could only find 2 or 3 HDMI DACs. I'm hoping the low volume through aux was due to Realtek crap DAC from PC & a crap aux cable was the cause. I can use that connection via other devices and it plays loud. Hopefully the 3.5mm aux input on the soundbar isn't low quality as well. If anyone has a better way to improve my audio please let me know other than replacing it with component audio. Which isn't really much of an option in this location. It has all wood paneling along with the roof slope makes for an usual room geometry. Even the ceiling is wood paneling that I really don't want to damage or hang speakers from. I can't use Dolby Atmos speakers that bounce off the ceiling because it will reflect in an off sort of way. Ceiling speakers aren't an option either because of the depth between ceiling to roof area is only 6 to 8 inches at best. I am hoping others have gone down this road so that I may benefit from their experience. Regarding audio quality improvement for the Cinema 600 in the 5.1 configuration. Thank you for your help in advance, Larry D
  2. I was provided a Cinema 600 warranty replacement for my BAR 48 which had a multitude of issues. The BAR 48 was supposed to support Dolby Digital Plus which can provide CD quality audio but it never worked. I was never able to get Dolby Digital Plus working with my Cinema 600 then Klipsch admitted that the Cinema 600 doesn't support Dolby Digital Plus so the replacement didn't provide the same features that the BAR 48 was supposed to provide. Before I could discuss the matter with Klipsch, the Cinema 600 dropped dead! Long story short, I now have a Cinema 800 and still using the same Surround 3s that I purchased with my BAR 48. Most of My BAR 48 issues appear to have been resolved in the Cinema 600 and now my Cinema 800 supports Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Atmos. The Cinema 800 is everything the BAR 48 should have been! The Cinema 800 has had its issues, most of which have been firmware related. Klipsch has just provided me with their latest firmware update which looks very promising. While the crackling sound you hear may be due to an issue with the Surround 3s, some customers have reported that issue has been resolved with the latest firmware update to their Cinema 800 soundbar which will also update the firmware in the Surround 3s. I understand your issues trying to get a warranty exchange on your Cinema 600. Klipsch may be more sympathetic if you explain that you had a BAR 48 with many issues, that you purchased the Cinema 600 as a replacement and didn't seek a warranty replacement on your BAR 48. You may still be able to return your new Cinema 600 to Best Buy and wrangle a Cinema 800 as a replacement from Klipsch, if you are lucky. Let us know what transpires.
  3. Two weeks ago I purchased a new 2019 Samsung Q70R TV and the Klipsch BAR 48 with Surround 3 speakers. Both devices claim to support Dolby Digital Plus. The soundbar is connected to the TV via HDMI-4 which is the HDMI (ARC) connection. The TV recognizes the BAR 48 and the TV sound settings allow me to choose "Receiver HDMI" to direct sound output to the soundbar. The TV also has "Expert Settings" where I can specify the Audio Output Format. The default format is "PCM" but if the source uses Dolby Digital I have the option of selecting "Dolby Digital" or "Dolby Digital+". When I choose Dolby Digital I can hear surround sound (more on this below). When I choose Dolby Digital+ the sound stops and the soundbar goes comatose. Selecting Dolby Digital does not restore the sound. To get things working again I must: Remove power from the soundbar. Disconnect the HDMI cable. Restore power to the soundbar and turn it on. Reconnect the HDMI cable and allow the TV to rediscover the device. The latest BAR 48 firmware Version: v83 v23 Released: 12/13/2019 does not resolve this issue. So why is Dolby Digital Plus important to me? Dolby Digital uses a lossy compression algorithm and supports a maximum bitrate of 640 Kbps. Dolby Digital Plus also uses a lossy compression algorithm but one that is much more efficient. It supports a maximum bitrate of 6 Mbps and can provide almost CD quality audio. Dolby Digital does not imply surround sound: It supports 1, 2, 4, and 5.1 discreet channels over HDMI or digital (optical) connections. Dolby Digital Plus supports 8-channel (7.1) audio and can down-mix side and rear channels to create 5.1 surround sound when equipment doesn't support 7.1. Dolby Digital + requires an HDMI connection. To experience surround sound from the Bar 48, several conditions must be met. The User Manual, of course, explains none of this. The Surround 3 speakers have to be connected and working and the volume has to be at a sufficient level to hear them. The Surround 3 speaker volume can be adjusted but the manual included with my soundbar doesn't explain how to do this. Even when the volume of both Surround 3 speakers is at maximum, sound from the speakers is barely audible. Firmware v83 v23 does help considerably. The ((SUR)) indicator on the Bar 48 must be on, indicating that sound is being directed to all the appropriate speakers. The Dolby Digital indicator on the Bar 48 must be on, indicating that multi-channel audio might be delivered to the device. The audio content must contain audio assigned to all the appropriate channels in order to experience surround sound. I have a case opened with Samsung for this issue but before they will escalate it they want proof that the fault does not lie with the soundbar. Is anybody using a Dolby Digital Plus source with the BAR 48 and, if so, are you experiencing any issues? If it is working as it should, would you care to share the make and model of the device you are using?
  4. Just fixed my Cinema 600 today. Confirming that the white wire is Ground. Thanks to @SixerFixerand all who contributed to this thread. Now, can I get some help with the annoying, intermittent chirps coming from my Surround 3s? 🙂
  5. Being the OP, and having posted about my experience with my beloved Klipsch brand Nov 2019 to Jan 2020, I do not say this lightly. I fully enjoy my traditional set of 7.2 Klipsch speakers. I expected the Bar 48 with Surround 3 rear speakers to be of equal quality and enjoyment. I went through 3 Bar 48s and 3 sets of surround 3 speakers before I realized Bar 48, Surround Sound and quality do not exist in this product line despite the claims. Klipsch tech support finally admitted and confirmed this, after I told them I'd returned the product. The surround speaker volume never improved beyond a mere whisper, home theater quality of surround sound never occurred. To add insult to injury, Bluetooth failed to connect on the last 2 Bar 48s. I worked with this community. I worked with Klipsch tech support. No resolution. I returned them for a full refund and walked away. I'm now a very satisfied customer of JBL 5.1 soundbar with wireless surround speakers which I purchased from Amazon for about five hundred. If you're losing sleep over the Bar 48 product line, run, don't walk. Shop elsewhere.
  6. I purchased a Cinema 600 soundbar in May 2021, which just died. Red light, won't power on. Went through the FW upgrade steps, still nothing; it's dead, Jim. I contacted Klipsch support and they wouldn't honor the warranty because I bought it open box through Best Buy which, honestly, is crap (but I get it). Worse, the Cinema 600 replaced an equally faulty Bar 48. Looking around the internet, I see a litany of similar stories and stumbled upon this (https://www.channelnews.com.au/is-the-klipsch-cinema-600-soundbar-being-recalled/) which leads me to believe this isn't isolated at all and Klipsch probably knows it. Here's the thing: I purchased the Surround 3's so I have the set up for a decent enough 5.1 should I choose to replace the Cinema 600. My question is: has the Cinema 600 been improved? Was the power supply issue addressed (which supposedly leads to the red light issue)? Will my Surround 3's still crackle and disconnect all the time if I purchase (yet another) Klipsch soundbar?
  7. My setup is similar to yours. Samsung Q70R 4K TV Apple TV 4K Klipsch Cinema 600 (with Surround 3 speakers) connected to my Samsung TV via HDMI-ARC. With all the devices you have it is important to know how they are all connected as each one has the potential to alter the audio format. Lets start with what the Cinema 600 supports. Even this is not clear to me. The Cinema 600 spec sheet states: Dolby Audio is pretty general and there are several Dolby Audio formats. Prior to getting the Cinema 600 I had (still do) a BAR 48. The BAR 48 spec sheet states: Here the specs are pretty specific about what formats are supported although I never could get any sound using Dolby Digital Plus. My TV supports these output formats and will allow me to choose them if the connected device supports them. PCM - Stereo or Mono. [HDMI-ARC or Digital] Dolby Digital - maximum of 6 channels (5.1) but also Mono, Stereo, 3.1. [HDMI-ARC or Digital] Dolby Digital Plus - Supports #2 at a higher bit rate plus 7.1. [HDMI-ARC only] Dolby Atmos With my BAR 48 I could select #1, #2, or #3, even though #3 wouldn't work. With my Cinema 600, I am no longer offered #3 as an option so I must assume the Cinema 600 does not support Dolby Digital Plus and therefore does not support 7.1 inputs. Based on the above, the best one can expect from the Cinema 600 is Dolby Digital 5.1 via HDMI-ARC or Digital inputs if the TV supports those connections. If the source content is not Dolby Digital encoded some TVs may continue to provide a Dolby Digital encoded output with only one or two channel content. My TV will automatically switch to PCM. This will affect how sound is processed by the Cinema 600. You should verify how your TV behaves. According to the documentation the Cinema 600 should Downmix 5.1 to 3.1 if the Surround 3 speakers are not connected. Provide virtual surround. Unfortunately, the manual does not explain exactly how virtual surround is supposed to work. The diagrams in the user manual do not include the subwoofer and, of course, there is no description provided so one can only speculate. Once we factor in other devices and apps, things begin to get complicated. Apps may run on your smart TV, Apple TV, Plex, or other devices. Some apps, like YouTube, only provide stereo output regardless what a particular video purports to offer. On the other hand, with the appropriate subscription, the Netflix app is capable of passing through a Dolby Digital encoded output stream if one is provided in the video but that still doesn't guarantee the Dolby Digital encoded stream will reach your soundbar if the platform on which the app is running is unable to capture and process (or pass through) the Dolby Digital encoded stream from the app. Klipsch has to provide better documentation and explain how these features are supposed to work. Only then can we know if the device is working as designed or if a specific behavior is the result of a defect. If we suspect a possible defect, as I would if the documentation is not specific, we need to open a case with Klipsch tech support to get the issue resolved. You can find additional information about some of the Cinema 600 features here.
  8. KevinB, what is the name of the Klipsch person you're working with? I've an online support request on klipschgroupinc dot com. After a month, I finally got routed to a person named Zach a couple of days ago who at least is familiar with using the BAR 48 5.1 at home. He suggested I replace the BAR 48 and Surround 3 speakers for the third time. Here is the list of problems I wrote to him. Items 1-3 are my main issue - if the BAR 48 5.1 is designed for and meant to use only for Surround Sound during movies, then it is worthless as I enjoy listening to 5.1 from stereo music sources far more often (which I have on my other home theater system). https://support.klipschgroupinc.com/hc/en-us/requests/46437 Zach, 1. The Surround 3 speakers are too quiet, making them useless when listening to Dolby channels and stereo music. My expectation when purchasing the BAR 48 5.1 was to be able to be immersed in sound from all sources, including stereo music CDs/MP3s. Your competitors do not have this problem (Example: my main home theater system is a Denon receiver with 7.2 Klipsch speakers, with which I enjoy being immersed in all sources of videos and music). Klipsch BAR 48 5.1 utterly fails here. 2. When watching 5.1 surround sources (such as Star Wars The Last Jedi on Amazon Prime Video) the Surround 3 speakers produce static on both channels (especially when the bass is booming), again making them annoyingly useless. Again, Klipsch fails. 3. When watching 5.1 surround sources, I have the S3 volume all the way up, but it is still too quiet. I expect "all the way up" to be too loud and I expect I should be able to set the S3 volume to my taste somewhere between the highest and lowest. Klipsch allows on +/- 9dB volume adjustment while the default is far too quiet. Default should be the current max or higher and the volume should be adjustable by at least +/- 20dB. Again, Klipsch fails. 4. The BLUETOOTH on the BAR 48 does NOT connect to any of my sources. The first BAR 48 did not have this problem. I will have to exchange it a third time in hopes of fixing this. Another Klipsch failure. Why do I bother? Klipsch speakers are the best, IMHO, and I would like your powered and electronic systems to be in that category one day. I have a home theater (Denon receiver with 7.2 Klipsch speakers) which I enjoy. I hope one day to enjoy Klipsch powered and electronic systems as much. And another thing. 5. When using HDMI and the TVs volume control, the BAR 48 volume doesn't increase/decrease in small increments like the BAR 48 buttons and BAR 48 remote control do, but by large increments, which means the volume jumps too high or low, which means I then have to use the BAR 48 remote to adjust volume. (As a comparison, I have tried another brand of soundbar and the volume control on my TV remote works exactly the same as the soundbar remote).
  9. @DaleG Yes I do have the Surround 3 speakers connected to my BAR 48. My BAR 48 is connected to my TV via HDMI (ARC). I do not have a DVD/Blu-ray player. The sound level from the Surround 3 speakers is adequate when: I'm watching a movie with DD sound and the DD light on my soundbar is illuminated. and... the ((SUR)) indicator on the BAR 48 is illuminated, and... The surround volume is at maximum The sound from the Surround 3 speakers is barely audible when the ((SUR)) indicator on the BAR 48 is illuminated while: listening to a non DD audio source, or using the Bluetooth connection, or using the analog connection. I would like the sound level from my Surround 3 speakers to be at the current level with the Surround volume set to a neutral level.
  10. The Klipsch Surround 3 speakers are the only surround speakers that are supported. The specs state that they are wireless speakers but do not state they are Bluetooth speakers. What makes you think you can connect Bluetooth speakers?
  11. I hadn't noticed that... I just took another look at the Surround 3 Speakers - Sound Bar Surround Sound Speakers Spec Sheet. It states: MAX ACOUSTIC OUTPUT: 94dB @1M Anechoic each / 100dB @1M Anechoic pair The BAR 48 Sound Bar + Wireless Subwoofer Spec Sheet states: MAX ACOUSTIC OUTPUT: 103 dB The 3 dB difference means the BAR 48 should sound twice as loud as the pair of the Surround 3 speakers or, to put it another way, the Surround 3 speakers should be capable of producing sound levels half as loud as the BAR 48. Be that as it may, we all know the sound we are getting from the surround speakers are nowhere near those sound levels! Those of us posting to this forum represent a small number of the BAR 48 owners experiencing issues. I encourage anyone reading these posts who is experiencing similar issues to reply to one of them even if it is only to say "me too". Tech support is provided by a third party and I am not at all convinced that they are willing or able to resolve issues related to firmware defects. I'm told that Klipsch staff sometimes looks at these posts and that this is the best way to make them aware of issues. I wish there were a better way to notify Klipsch of our dissatisfaction with this product!
  12. I've had my BAR 48 and Surround 3 speakers for about two weeks now and encountered the same issue. The volume of the surround speakers can be adjusted but that information was missing from the manual included with the sound bar. Page 7 of Bar-48_Manual_v06.pdf has the details. You can find the BAR 48 Sound Bar + Wireless Subwoofer Manual on the Product Download page. Increasing the volume on each of the Left and Right surround speakers to maximum did make a difference but the new firmware update helped even more. 13. Please see this post for additional information. HDMI-ARC is the preferred connection. If your TV supports ARC, have you tried it? Klipsch has never provided details about how surround sound is supposed to work. On my Cinema 600 and my previous BAR 48 I would never get any sound from my Surround 3 speakers unless the ((SUR)) indicator was on. It is quite possible when listening to a Dolby Digital source that there is just no content in the rear channels. Try this: Use HDMI-ARC, if possible, otherwise use Digital. On the TV, enable Dolby Digital (not Dolby Digital Plus, even if it is available) Verify that the Dolby Digital indicator on the soundbar is illuminated. That will confirm that the TV is providing a valid Dolby Digital encoded output and that your soundbar recognizes it. If the Dolby Digital indicator on the soundbar is not illuminated try to connect the soundbar to a different device. Next... Make sure the ((SUR)) indicator on the soundbar is illuminated and that the Surround 3 speaker volume is set to an appropriate level.. Select a multimedia source that you know provides Dolby Digital encoded output (Netflix?) Select a video that uses Dolby Digital 5.1. What now works or doesn't work?
  14. If you don't have the optional Surround 3 speakers connected, the ((SUR)) button will engage the virtual surround feature. If the soundbar is turned off, the virtual surround will be reset and will have to be engaged again when you want it.
  15. I am having a somewhat similar issue. I got the 600 because the wife would not allow another 7.1 set up in our new remodel den. I will admit it sound better than expected and was really looking forward to getting the Surround 3's in the enhance the sound even further. They came in today and I am thinking that the bar itself is having issues decoding. When I have my TV sound setting set to auto detect I can get 5.1 surround when streaming through Netflix, HBO Max or Amazon Prime, but get nothing out of the surrounds when using the Dish App, other apps or Youtube ( I can get 5.1 on my traditional set up with a Yamaha amp on these platforms). When I do a surround test through Youtube it get stereo and it doesn't matter if I go though the Fire Stick or the app directly though the smart TV. When I change the TV settings to Auto Passthrough I do get sound through the surrounds, but it is not 5.1 it's stereo. I have tried all sound settings on the TV - the two mentioned above, Dolby Digital, DD+, DD/DTS, DD+/DTS. The only setting that gives me anything out of the surrounds when is auto passthrough or PCM. NOt really sure what to do. I have to bar connected through eARC. I have tried changing the HDMI settings, sound settings on the TV and Fire Stick, re-pairing the speakers. I am going to try to change to an optical cable next, but I really think it is a decoding issue with the soundbar. Maybe they will come out with a firmware update soon. I too have tried the Klipsch app and it says everything is up to date. The app is pretty much useless. I thought it was supposed to give you options for sound fields and adjustment, at least that what it says on the Klipsch website. The only thing it really does is register your product and check for updates. Set up: TCL 65" Series 6 TV (2020) Klipsch Cinema 600 - connected through eARC Amazon Fire Stick
  16. I hate to be the bearer of bad news about the Bar 48. I had three Bar 48 units over a period of six weeks from Nov 2019 to Jan 2020. Only the first one connected via Bluetooth to my Samsung S8 and my two Windows laptops. The two following units failed to pair with Bluetooth to any device I tried. On top of that, I had three pairs of the Surround 3 rear speakers during that time. At best, the S3 speakers produced a whisper. Klipsch support finally admitted the Bar 48 does not properly provide 5.1 surround sound and Bluetooth has problems, for which they have no date for a firmware fix (I updated to v23 of Dec 2019 on all three of the Bar 48s). Being a long-time Klipsch traditional speaker owner, it was difficult for me to realize the Bar 48 product line is poor in quality and lacking in features the competitors have in spades. I returned all the Klipsch gear for a full refund. I'm now a very happy owner of the JBL Bar 5.1 with rich sound, full surround sound, HDMI-ARC and Bluetooth right out-of-the-box and at $499, is in the same price range as the Bar 48 with Surround 3 speakers when they are on sale.
  17. @DaleG I don't disagree with what you say. The only thing that The Expanse proves is that under the right conditions the Surround 3 speakers can produce surround sound albeit not without issues. At least we can rule out the surround issues are not due to the lack of surround content in the source. I've been told to expect a call from a Klipsch Customer Support supervisor tomorrow. I will pass on anything of interest I learn from him.
  18. I do... A lot of cable channels provide Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. If you don't have the Surround 3 speakers the best you can expect is simulated surround sound from the soundbar and subwoofer. The first thing to do is to is to verify that the audio feed from your TV is Dolby Digital and not PCM. If that is set correctly the soundbar should have the DD light illuminated, at least on some channels. As for the apps, it's complicated... Read the TV manual or check with Sony customer support to verify what sound formats are available from the TV apps. For example, the YouTube app only provides two channel stereo regardless what a particular video claims to provide.
  19. It's not just a matter of having a bunch of components and hoping they can be connected is such a way as to product the desired result. In your case you need to understand the capabilities and limitations of your soundbar, TV, and projector. If you want to obtain the best sound from your Cinema 600, including surround sound from your Surround 3 speakers, you have two choices: HDMI ARC Digital HDMI ARC offers greater bandwidth and increased functionality. According to Klipsch Product Support, the Cinema 600 does support Dolby Digital Plus but I've never been able to get it to work. UPDATE (2021-12-04): Klipsch Product Support, states they were mistaken and that the Cinema 600 does not support Dolby Digital Plus. I have a Samsung Q70R TV. Originally, I had a BAR 48 connected to it via the HDMI ARC connection. You can read about all the issues I encountered elsewhere in this forum. The BAR 48 specs state the soundbar supports Dolby Digital Plus. My TV will allow me to select DD+ if the attached device supports it. When I selected it, the Bar 48 locked up. Long story short: After a year I received a Cinema 600 as a warranty replacement. Now it is connected to the same TV via HDMI ARC but my TV no longer gives me the option of choosing DD+. I had a case opened with Klipsch Product Support for twenty months and, despite many attempts, I still haven't been able to get an update on the status of this issue. With no HDMI ARC nor Digital output from your projector there is no way it can provide a high quality audio stream let alone a Dolby Digital audio stream. Period! Perhaps... Your TV supports Dolby Digital as does your soundbar but Dolby Digital supports several different formats besides 5.1 including 2 channel stereo. If you expect a 5.1 audio feed to your soundbar then all the connections from the source to the soundbar also have to support 5.1 audio. This includes any apps you may have on a smart TV. Based on the information you provided, that's your best option to incorporate your Cinema 600 into your existing system. If your projector had a digital audio output it would greatly simplify things.
  20. Welcome to the Klipsch Community forums. As I mentioned to JB19 in my previous post, review other Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200 posts. It's unfortunate but information is dispersed among a dozen different threads. The Cinema 800 and Cinema 1200 have a lot in common and you will find useful information in the Cinema 1200 threads too. Others have also reported that crackling sound. While the Surround 3 speakers could be defective, the issue might also be resolved with a firmware update to your soundbar which will update the firmware in your surrounds. The first thing you should do is Submit a request to Klipsch Product support. Describe your issue and provide them with your current firmware versions. To do that, see this article: Cinema 800 - How to Check Firmware Versions.
  21. i just bought surround 3 for my cinema 800 im hearing crackling sound. What do I do?
  22. Update: My local Best Buy had a Cinema 600 in stock so I went ahead and purchased it since I suppose I can't learn my lesson and I desperately want Klipsch to be my brand, having used them almost exclusively since the early THX Promedia days. Anyway, I was comparing this new 600 to my old one and found something very interesting. On the back of the bar (as well as on the box), the model number is listed "Cinema 600-2". Oddly, on the back of my broken soundbar, the version is listed as "Cinema 600" which leads me to believe that there was, in fact, some kind of model update in the last year. Hope so, anyway! That said, so far, so good. My Surround 3's connected straight away (they were fussy getting connected to the old bar) and I'll be damned if the whole setup doesn't sound just a little better to boot. Also, the remote has a different feel than the previous one with the finish being more matte and the buttons have a distinct "clickiness" to them that was missing previously (that's a good thing). I'll keep everyone posted.
  23. @JB19, Welcome to the Klipsch forums. I'm sorry your soundbar is not behaving as expected. Can you provide a little more information about your setup? Does your setup include the Surround 3 speakers? How is your soundbar connected to your TV? Are your audio/video sources connected to your TV or directly to the soundbar? How? What are the soundbar firmware versions? See: Cinema 800 - How to Check Firmware Versions What Playback mode have you selected? Try Direct but you will likely want Standard. 25. Yes, the surround 3 speaker are the ones that need to be used with the cinema 600. I just got a cinema 600 replacement for my bar 48. All the issues identified with the bar 48 appear to have been resolved with the cinema 600. We finally have control over the volume on the surround 3 speakers.
