First time I have ever posted in a blog but need some help. Trying to get audio for my open concept family room/kitchen. Its a big space - the family room part is probably 24 feet wide (on this wall is where the TV would be), and 15 feet deep, but there is no back wall cause it opens up the kitchen, which is another 12 feet deep. On the 24 ft wall i have wires for a L/R/C and a sub in the corner, and two ceiling rear for L/R surround that are right over the couch. This is where we spend 99% of our time so wanted a system for both movies and music; i am by no means an audiophile, but i did grow up with a dad that was and had Aerial speakers growing up 30 years ago (not sure if they even make those anymore) so I do appreciate the difference in quality. Despite being wired I started with this setup cause of ease of use: 1. Sonos ARC plus sonos in ceiling speakers powered by a sonos AMP, sonos sub This obviously sounded better than the TV, but for the cost it wasn't great in this room. Maybe the room, but the soundbar just felt very small. 2. I returned this, and recently got Klipsch 504 for center Klipsch 625 atmos for L/R Klipsch in-ceiling 160 CDT for surround Klipsch 12 inch sub Yamaha V6A receiver This setup sounds quite a bit better than the sonos (especially for movies), but two problems. 1. The voice isn't as clear as I feel it could be - it is a bit hollow and distant. 2. More importantly, the speakers are really big, and wife hates it. I also cant really hear the ATMOS effect - maybe cause my ceiling is too high at 12 feet? Thus, advice.... I am now at the stage of looking for a new setup with in-wall or on-wall speakers - at least for the L/R and could also do for the center. For this much money, I really feel like it could be bada-s, but I feel like I am missing the mark (or it is just the aucistics of the room). Anyone have any recommendations for in wall speakers for this setup? I am really all over the place, and at first was gonna buy the Klipsch 5502 or something similar, but then was looking around and found Goldenear as well as B&W CWM 7.4 (I know these last two options are quite a bit more expensive which I dont mind spending if it will be that much better). I am going to a store on Sat to listen to the Goldenear, but does anyone else have any advice on a newbie setting this up???? Once I cut open the wall, these speakers will be staying for a long time....so i am a bit hesitant. Thanks much for any help anyone can provide -Ben

I’m finishing up the basement with a 7.1 movie theatre. The room length is 17 (L), 14 (w), 9 (h). I’m struggling on what in-wall Klipsch to get. The stereo I’m using is 125-150 watts per channel. I’m far from an expert and need assistance on what in wall speakers to get. The person helping me has suggested the following speaker type set-up. center - any 2 way speaker (will use my ref-52 center, I’ll use this till I determine optimal screen hight.) front left/right - 3 way speaker Sides and rear - any 2 way speaker base - reusing from my ref-52 when looking at the following speakers my friend helping suggested the 75w rms is too low for the stereo I will be using. Can someone elaborate on this? For my left and rights I've been looking at R-5502 (Power Handling 75w/300w) Pro-250-RPW (Power Handling 75w/300w) kl-6502 THX-8000-L but it’s overkill for the room size and too pricey right now. i have no clue on the sides and rear, please any suggestions that would make this theatre sound spectacular. I did build a riser and I’m anticipating 5 chairs on the back row back against the wall and 3 chairs neon the riser. thank you for your help in advance. thanks, Greg aka Battletroll I’m finishing up tiling the bathroom today will get a pic of the full room loaded up later today. For now all I have is this.

Bought this locally and tried to convince the wife to let me put these in our upstairs living room to make a real theater in the basement. She shot that down pretty quick. (1) R-5800-W II (used for center) - $399 MSRP (4) R-5650-W II (used for fronts and surrounds) - $349 MSRP Each (2) CDT-5800-C II (ATMOS) - $399 MSRP Each Total MSRP - $2539 The only thing i'm seeing missing is two of the machine screws. I'll try and fine some at a hardware store before I ship them. I also have all of the grills and hardware needed to mount. I may not have many posts here but I can get some references from very well known members if you want them. My Price - $750 shipped obo Feel free to shoot me a text. 816-728-9319 Thanks, Matt

Hello everybody, We are preparing an Atmos build in our livingroom and Klipsch has gotten my attention as a speakerbrand. I've listened to a bookshelf Klipsch and really liked the sound. Because we are doing an in-wall/ceiling setup, I've selected the 5502 II's as my possible wall speakers, given that one type of speaker gives an equal tonality through all speakers. For the ceiling, I'm looking at the CDT5800 series. The sound will be supported by a Velodyne DD10 subwoofer. Actually, I have two questions: 1. Are the 5502 II and the CDT5800 a good match? 2. How does the sound of the in-wall speaker compare to the RF monitor speaker with the same drivers? I hope someone can answer this, because there are no dealers here where I can listen to in-wall speakers before buying...

Good morning forum, I purchased the Pro 4800-W to free up my Forte's from HT duty so that they could be relocated for 2CH listening. I was able to purchase a few pairs for $99 a pair on sale so I figured at this price if I didn't enjoy them I would not lose to much. I am in the process of remodeling parts of my home so that it can be used for men's ministry and didn't want to install anything to expensive since my family won't be living here with the men. My impressions so far are beyond my expectations. I watched I-Robot with my wife last night and really enjoyed the experience. It really helps having the same LCR speakers across the front.

In-Wall Central Channel R-5502-W II match with RP-280F ? Hello, Following the discussion on my central speaker problem ( https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/160840-central-channel-setup/ ), I decided to go with a Klipsch in-wall speaker. I plan to build a in-wall cabinet (in denser premium grade MDF) to give to the speaker the same angle that the TV. Is this a good match to mix the R-5502-W II with the RP-280F? Do they have a similar sound for the Twitter and the Bass? Do the follow the other speakers ? Left and Right : RP-280F Center : R-5502-W II Woofer: R-110SW Surround: RP-140SA A/V Receiver: Yamaha RX-A3050 Thanks, BLabrie

I cannot find any information about the PRO line of architectural speakers. Between Pro 6800 and R5800 which one will be better. This is for a 20 ft X 16 ft X 10 ft (h) room. The front three floor standers are alreay there. I need six speakers for surrond in an Audyssey 9.2 configuration. The receiver is Onkyo 3010.
