  1. As can be clearly seen, the need to do something became over due. The Ikea rack takes up way too much space and, obviously, can´t cope with the 130lbs pf CRT-TV. The positioning of my center is also less than optimum. So i surfed the net a bit and found a solution for DIY that i can pull through, although my skills and tools are limited. The main components will be multiplex wood and threaded rods. I hope to come out with a rack that will be both cheaper and more durable than the ones you can buy. These are two of four plates i plan to use. Holes are already drilled and the left received the first coat of oil. Plates are birch and approx. 110cm/ 43" x 40cm/ 16", the uppermost is 3cm/ 1,2" thick, the others are 2cm/ 0,79". Connecting rods will be M16/ 5/8".

All, for consideration is my Box Furniture 5 shelf rack in Anigre. Really nice looking stand. 44" high, 23" wide, 18" deep. It was a dealer demo in its previous life so it has a couple scratches on it, as pictured. I would like to free up the space in my living room and consolidate my hifi footprint, and have less stuff, so would like to find a buyer in the Chicago area. Given its size it would be local pickup/reasonable driving distance. Some pictures attached. Thanks and please contact me if you have questions. My photo files are too big to attach them all, so will post below this and can provide more on request. 3. Ive purchased my first Sanus audio rack. Im looking for suggestions. Heavy gear at the bottom, I have that but then what? Ive youve done this you most likely found the right way to do it. Help a nice guy out please. What other gear/parts and sources would you suggest? I don't want to do this ten times, I'd really like to optimize as close as I can the first time. Thanks in advance,
