Kenny Keith
I have 3 of the 42 already. Front left, right and center. My question was this. I am limited on roomand was wondering if I used 2 more for the surrounds, and 2 more for the rears. So that would make 7 RVX-42. Would they do good or should I get the RS-42 for the surrounds and the rears?Any replys would be greatly apprec. Thanks
jamesV
Welcome to the forum, If you can, I say go for it. Some say the best ht would be to match the same speakers all the way around. What size room is it? You might be able to use the matching RSX-4 as the recommended surround speakers. http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rvx-42-home-theater-system.aspx James
Kenny Keith
Our Room is 16x18 but it is diag. but the divider in the room is only a beam that does not reach the ceiling it is a suspended beam. So the room is actually 16x40. It is a little hard to describe, sorry. Thats why I was wondering on the rs-42. to give me a little more disper. If you know what I mean. I really stink at this stuff . Tarrataca
Those rvx-42 are going to have a hard time in a room that big..... you wont have good sound and if you crank it they will be WAY WAY WAY too "bright" (no mid's or base) you can get much better sound for the same money with the RF-52 home theater package or even the RF-62, the RVX-42 were designed for SMALL rooms were realstate is at a premium.
