are mirage subs better than klipsch?

i just found out mirage is owned by klipsch, but which subs are better?

with klipsch, im looking at getting a sub12 (ive owned it before) but mirage has the prestige s10 (10in 300watt) sub on sale from 799 to 399....

any ideas which is better?

Just get an RSW-15! I got mine for 450! Realistically, it sounds like either one would work with your setup and they are very similar spec wise. Listen to both is you can and decide. Or, get something bigger and better used at a very good price. Like a MFW-15 for 450.00 or SVS used on sale. Thats my advise.

Those Mirage subs are pretty hot, and that's a very attractive price. Check out the specs on the Mirage web site.

I think they are a lot like the Klipsch Icon subs, the materials seem similar. Don't know about the electronics.

A friend of mine had a Mirage sub. I can't remember which particular model, but it was a 10 incher; and it sounded pretty dang good! If you can catch the sub 12 on sale somewhere, get that. But if not, give the mirage a try.......

If you could find a good used Mirage bps 400 that is if somebody is willing to let theres go. They are excellent [Y]

Mirage subs better than Klipsch...only in a mirage. [:#] Mirage has and had a few interesting "Bipolar" subs. The Klipsch RSW line and RT-10/12d plus the THX twins are above what Mirage makes now.

Mirage used to manufacture a dual 10 and 12 subs,these were the finest units they ever made.That was a few years ago. Today morage is more about max value classic ported subs(as the market and the clientelle changed..a bit).

Now Klipsch has clearly higher performing subs.
