After realizing the -10dB LFE error with analog out on the S550 I have just decided to use the toslink/SPDIF and the standard codecs for bluray and dvd and be done with it. unimorpheus Posted January 4, 2009 Author Share Posted January 4, 2009 I agree the S550 is a great unit. The S350 is also a great unitwithout the analog outputs which come at a 100+ dollar premium. I havedone some AB comparisions and the DACs in the S550 sound better thanmy 5 year old Yamaha. The analog out is missing the LFE. Using thetoslink/SPDIF produces lesser sound with LFE.Nice choices.
