vandyman
Help ! I have temporarily relocated to the Philadelphia area, leaving Chicago and my two sets of Fortes, one pair of Quartets and beloved Vandersteen 3A signatures back home. I am looking to find something about the Quartet size or smaller for basic stereo . I listen to everything, except organ music. Any suggestions at this point would be much appreciated. Thanks all ! Bill H.
Here is the Craigslist for PA. It's too bad you could not just take the Quartets with you from Chicago............Good Luck http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=klipsch
Audio Flynn
If you are shorton cash like we all are get the nicest Klipsch bookshelf anf get solid concrete pedestals from a "monument seller" or birdbath place and paint hem gloss balck. You can always dump the stands but if you move agan the bookshelves move easy. RB-81 or similar model is a good start to consider.
edwinr
The RB-81's are a pretty big 'bookshelf' speakers. It's definitely better to mount them on stands. Probably the best value standmounts around. Buy the RB-81's and prepare to get your socks blown off.... [Y]
Bill H.
Another Bookshelf Model would be the Energy C 100. (Owned by Klipsch). Which would do until you get settled and again very Movable too. http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/ele/1012717983.html or from Audio Advisors (New for 149.00). http://www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=ENC100#
