BS Button Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 I just bought an Audio Note M Zero tube pre on a wim. It's not even here, yet. Could someone please comment on this equipment. Seems like there are two Audio Note companies: one is Japan and one in UK, both of them are very elite it would appear, especially the Japanese outfit. Tough, I have a Audio Note P1 power-amp with a volume-knob. Lately I've been playing music with a DAC connected directly to the P1 and the sound is much richer. I find the M-Zero to be a bit 'thin'. A bit dissapointing, as both amps are Audio Note (synergy effect? ). I'm now looking into a combined soundcard, preamp and DAC, the Apogee Duet, to use instead of the M-Zero. And yes, there is two Audio Note divisions. UK and Japan, also known as Kondo. Japan is mostly very exclucive stuff. Actually, there is 3 divisions - AudioNote kits as well.
