felitopaz
I presently have a set up that consists of RF-7's for mains and RC-7 all with DeanG mods. Surroundsare RS-7's and since I listen to a lot of 5 channel SACD music I amthinking of dumping the RS-7's an buying RB-75's or perhaps RB-5/RB-5 II I am also open to RF's number ???? for rears but, they all mostbe either mounted or place right against the wall due to roomconfigurations. Please advice:
capo72
RB-75's make excellent surrounds for RF-7 mains. Better than RS-7's IMO. I ran them for a very short time until I switched to RF-7's for the rear. I don't think you will go wrong upgrading from the RS-7's. felitopaz
Thanks. Besides the RB-75's What RF's do you recommend for rears? They must be right against the wall though.
capo72
RF-7 surrounds would be the best match for your RF-7 mains. Albiet a bit of overkill there is no better timbre match. Mine are up against the back wall but toed in slightly. They sound fine to me. There is not alot of information being reproduce by them anyway when you are watching movies or tv. Maybe a liilte more when watching concerts or DVD-A and SACD. I really like it. RB-75's seem to bring a fair amount of money on the used market. They have the same tweeter as the RF-7. For my taste I would not use a lesser floorstander because they don't share any of the same drivers. YMMV. Jeremy
