Crossman
I have a pair of working 15" woofers that I replaced from my Khorns and was considering using them for some useful purpose since it probably wouldn't be worth the effort to attempt to sell them. Would it be feasible to build a cornwall / cornscale type bass bin bottom, wire it with a low-pass crossover or maybe a 3-way crossover and only use the bass connection. Then use it as a center channel or power it from the subwoofer channel of a 7.1 or 5.1 receiver to increase bass presence? Thanks, Crossman
Guest " "
if you need a sub, sell/trade the woofers and get a sub. a sub for HT LFE operates at a very low frequency...lower than what the k-33 woofers
Daddy Dee
Crossman, The volume of the CW speaker cab is good for a bass bin. Bob Crites has used this idea in his cornscala bass bins. It's close to a 2'x2' cab which has an appropriately sized port/vent to closely approximate CW cab and sound.
