Chris Robinson
Yeah, those are sweet. The corner-rounds, the light grill cloth, and the light stain ... wow! Keep in mind that you can do that with a reasonably unabused pair ... just takes a few $$ for materials and lots of elbow grease (a few weekends). chuckears
Hey, Chris... how do you like that New Tube cd player? I have seriously considered one to head my McCormack - Forte chain... I recently tried an Adcom with the Burr-Brown 24-bit DAC, and found it very clear, but very fatiguing with my current setup; my 7 year old Sony changer actually sounds more realistic... mobile homeless
I think the orginal Rega beats the old Tjoeb player, personally. If you want a really musical player that seems almost grainless, especially for the price, the Rega is one of the best. I dont even like digital and I like the Rega. kh
Chris Robinson
Chuckears, too soon to say ... haven't logged enough hours on it although the original impressions are good. I'll defer to Kelly who's got a lot more hours in and certainly more critical ears. Ask me in six months when I've logged 300-400 hours on the Khorns. ------------------ If you don't like what is coming out, you wouldn't like what is going in." -PWK- --------------------- HOME THEATER Klipsch 1968 ALK Cornwall "II"s (LF/RF) ALK Belle Klipsch (Center) Klipsch Heresy (RR/LR) Klipsch KSW-12 sub Sonic Frontiers Anthem AMP1 (driving Cornwalls) Sonic Frontiers Anthem AMP1 (driving Heresy's) Denon AVR-4800 Toshiba SD-3109 DVD TWO-CHANNEL SYSTEM AES AE-25 "Superamp" AES AE-3 Pre-amp New Tube 4000 CD Player 1976 Klipschorns (ALK'ed)

chuckears
Soundog, I appreciate the encouragement, but I am faced with two difficulties: 1. I live about 16 hours away from the seller, and 2. Mrs. chuckears would have a thing or two to say about the purchase
