XtremeBowtie
I just purchased the F-3 home theater (F-3's, C-2, S-2's and SUB-12) and I am not 100% sure what gauge speaker wire and connectors to use in my install. I don't plan on bi-wiring the F-3's btw. I have an Onkyo TX-ST706 (100 watts per channel) and I was thinking of using 14 gauge wires (rear surrounds require about 30 ft). Also, I was going to use banana connectors. Do banana connectors seem like the best option to you guys? Thanks in advance for the advice. BuyOtherSoundEquipment
14 gauge is fine to use all around. I like using banana connectors because I have tapered yet thick fingers that can't maneuver very well around binding posts.
falcon20x
14 gauge is fine. I would say even 16 gauge would work in your case The banana plugs will work well with the front speakers but I do not know about the surrounds. Unless you are going to use mounting brackets and not mount them flush will the wall they will stick out to far Just a thought
