superedge88
So I have my subwoofer set to LFE+main and Audyssey had set up my main speakers High Pass filter to 60 Hertz. Should I raise that crossover frequency? What would you recommend for my set up?
Professor Thump
Should be fine. Does it sound better than without the sub?
superedge88
Definitely sounds better than without the sub, but I have read about people reducing the amount of bass going to their mains which can boost the available power to the rest of their speakers? Klewless
I use a sub with my Khorns set to the lowest frequency possible (40Hz). I also set the Khorns as small. My reasoning is to keep the sub from influencing the Khorn sound as much as possible. The other reason for limiting the bass is to eliminate woofer motion below the Khorn cutoff frequency which tends to clean up the sound at higher woofer frequencies.
