Cpt_John
In that price range I would look at the Epson Home Cinema 720 or The Panasonic PT-AX200U. Both of these are 720p projectors with very good picture quality and reviews. The Panasonic has a few extra inputs and can go a bit brighter if you can not control your ambient light. I personally prefer the Epson in this price range for it's picture quality, color rendition and warranty. I really don't think you can go too wrong with either of these projectors. To upgrade to a 1080p projector you would have to increase your budget. If you are looking for a economical screen, I would check out Elite Screens. They seem to provide a very good value. edwinr
I'd go with either the Epson or Panasonic for a 720p projector. I've had two Panasonics. Neither have failed me. I've heard good stuff about the Epson's too... I know 1080p is all the rage, but the 720p projectors give fantastic results on Bluray. After all, 720p is still high def. There's more to a good projector than blindly following the specifications game.
