soundog
Stereophile Guide to Home Theater (March/April Issue) Recommended Components for 2002 includes two Outlaw products. In the A/V receiver/integrated amp catagory the $499. Outlaw 1050 was included among the 9 recomended models. The other recommended but higher rated A/V Receivers were priced from $2400 to $3800 (5 to 7 X the 1050's price!). The Outlaw 750 ($1099.) power amp was also a recommended component and higher rated power amps started at $3395 and went up to $10,000. ------------------ Soundog's HT Systems This message has been edited by soundog on 02-20-2002 at 09:31 PM
Audio Flynn
The Outlaw stuff is great it keeps other HT electronics companies honest. I got a newbie friend of mine to buy a 1050 and he is amazed at the quality. If they made a progressive scan DVD Video/DVD Audio player I would buy it. Diggs
Everyone contemplating a new receiver should AT LEAST consider the Outlaw. Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, H/K, is all I ever hear. Why pay so much money for something that in some cases isn't as good as the Outlaw? All I ever recommend to people is the Outlaw, and I own a Denon! Not knocking the Denon because they're great, but at $499 the Outlaw can't be beat except on the used market. ------------------ Denon AVR-2800 KG-4 mains (too bad the rest of my speakers aren't this good) Polk C-175 center (it's ok) Infinity RS-10 Surrounds (suck) Audiosource SW-15 subwoofer (excellent sub for it's price) Pioneer DV333 DVD Sony 5 disc CD player All in a 12x12 apartment bedroom. "What?! I can't hear you!"
