khorn51 Posted June 8, 2009 Share Posted June 8, 2009 I have a 1955 vintage khorn with a trusonic Bass driver what ohms setting would be best on mac 30 amp? djk Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Most of the 16 ohm drivers measure less than 4 ohms. Try them on both the 4R and 8R taps, thump them a bit with some good bass program material, leave them on the tap that sounds the best. djk Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 Running it with no load will damage it. A mismatched load will not damage it. Whatever tap sounds the best is probably the one that is closest matched. At low levels this may be difficult to tell, hence the suggestion to thump it a bit.
