willland Posted August 22, 2009 Share Posted August 22, 2009 I saw this ad and was wondering if any of you well informed vintage nuts could give me some feedback about this receiver or similar model. Is this price okay? I use my Marantz with the Forte's and would like to know if the Sansui(160w/channel) would sound just as good or better with them. Any responses will be welcomed. tom b. 57 Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 I don't have any experience with the G-8700DB, but, I do have experience with the 9090DB, 9090, and the 8080DB powering my Forte's and love what I hear. I have been rotating these three in and out of service for a little over a year. Before that I was using my Marantz 2275. I like the sound of the Sansui's better.
