Subwoofer Cable doesn't work.

So I had the Monster subwoofer cable hooked up to my Sub-12 just fine, but it wouldn't fit on the back of the A/V receiver. It seems to me like the input wasn't deep enough because the cable would not fit snug inside of it. So my subwoofer didn't work. Then I went and grapped a generic composite cable and used the white audio jack and that works fine.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the Monster cable didn't work?

I figurd it out...I feel stupid though. The monster subwoofer cable has angled slots cut into the end that goes around the pre-out on the receiver. I have to twist it on so the cable goes on and holds a secure fit. Before I was just pushing straight in, which if I had pushed hard enough, I would have broke the pre-out. It works fine now.
