djhoof
Can someone clear this up for me. If these speakers RMS rating is at 85 watts Maximum and 340watts peak, is it bad to have a receiver that kicks out 110 watts RMS a channel to power them? Please clarify cause I found these for a great price and never realized the low RMS rating. Thanks, RYan
superedge88
It is perfectly fine, your receiver will be lucky to actually put out 40 watts of true wattage even though it is rated at 110 watts per channel, so you will be just fine. Go ahead and get th speakers if you want them.
wuzzzer
Its actually more desirable to have too much power than too little. As long as you don't turn it up loud enough to hear any audible distortion from the speakers you'll be fine.
