Rochlin on the tube during a review of a Moth Audio amplifier, the si2A3. You can get there from the C37 Tubes picture gallery after going to their site; C37 Accustics The $445 price tag per pair is in another universe than the one I normally live in, but I did see a pair go for about $200 on ebay. mobile homeless Posted March 7, 2002 Share Posted March 7, 2002 It is one of the few 2A3 tubes that I have not heard that I am interested in hearing, despite the price. A good friend in Quebec has used this tube in several of his amplifers (see the last one here http://www.magnequest.com/diy_lessard.htm ). One of the complaints he had was the reliability factor and there seemed to be many problems. Some of the earlier runs had microphonic problems as well. Besides that, he said he really liked this tube, stating it was one of his favorites but not worth the risk he believes... I guess this depends on the price and the seller. For a good review of 2A3 tubes, take a look at this article. I am in line with the KR part very much and think the Sovtek is good for the money. I am posting on a server for your download.
