alanwescoat
I have a pair of Klipsch B-3 speakers rated at 85 watts. They are connected to a 50-watt-per-channel Denon integrated amplifier. The amplifier has two sets of speaker outputs reated each for 50 watts per channel. Here is the question: Can I wire boths outputs to the speakers and get 100 watts per channel, or is it most likely that I will be heading to the service center after trying something like this? Oblio
Welcome to the forums ! The answer to your question is probably not. If this is a simple integrated amp, the two outputs are simply a way to allow you to route your output to multiple sets of speakers. Running the amp with both sets (A + simply places them in parallel with your 50 wpc output. Since you are tying them back together at the speaker all you have done is lowered the resistance of your speaker cable.
Groomlakearea51
Excellent explanation by Oblio! Basically, it won't work and could cause amp "issues".....
