1968dart
Hey everyone I just broke up with my girlfriend I've had since I was 15....she was nice and sounded great but I have a new love now that sings a little nicer. Sorry Paradigm but little miss klipsch has won me over[]. I've had a dream of a dedicated theater, even had to build a new house because I couldn't find one with a decent room that would serve my perpose. Anyway get to the question...after 4 years in my new house my rooms almost ready. I had my heart set on Paradigm monitor 11's and matching 7.1 system but when I demoed them they seemed flat and didn't have that stand the hairs up on the back of your neck sound I was looking for. Then I heard a pair of RF-62 and yes that was it....But I always want better so I'am going with RF-63,RC-64,RS-62x4 and RT-12d. Just wondering everyone's opion on what reciver to bring out the best of this system with a budget of $2000. One's I was think about are Pioneer SC-25 elite Denon 3810 Yamaha RXV-1900 Any info apreceated.. Room is 21ft long 12ft wide and 9 ft high. aprox 2300 cubic feet. also any good power conditioners for under $500? Thanks Robin
kelA
I have always liked the Denons when it came to receivers. I assume you are referring to the 4310 the 3808 replacement? You may also want to look into separate offerings from Emotiva, I hear they currently have killer prices. They are getting a lot of ear play recently. Oh and Welcome. willland
Welcome to the forum. I would say if you have $2000.00 to spend, get a hold of an Onkyo TX-NR905 or 906 and a multichannel amp(3 channel preferred) of at least 150w/channel and you'll be set. The high end Onkyo's have a toroidal transformer and top of line DAC's and all the bell's and whistles you will need. By the way, any of your suggestions will work fine. http://cgi.videogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?prea71ch&1261111509 http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?ampstran&1262201031&/Parasound-2250- My RF-63's really came alive when I added a 3 channel(200w) amp.
