Thanks Is the torn piece of paper still attached?? Michael Colter showed how to patch a woofer in the pro audio section using the propper glue and glueing a rolling paper such as TOPs to the back side of the cone. Bobby Beck
I just repaired several Altec 515 woofers this way. I cut up coffee filters and used speaker glue from parts express. I think the rolling paper is a good idea because it's so thin, and with the leftovers.... Hey, do you think Mr. Colter just had those papers laying around, or did he have to buy them for the project? I tried sniffing the glue....just kidding My friends and I can only enjoy coffee and music with my leftovers. Here is a link for the glue. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=340-
leohd
great advice, I appreciate it, the passive has about a hole the size of a silver dollar, with the paper missing, was wondering if anybody knows where I could find a repacement 15 incher for the forte II?
