Riot260
I purchased a Hi Vi 10" sub with intentions of making my own Carver True Sub but I never could track down a compatable passive radiator. In the process I built a 0.6 CF box as the Hi Vi specs call for: ok.... but nothing to write home about. My $99 12" KLH sub from Costco out performed it. Then I came across the Deathbox. My 10" sub loves its newly 13x13x17 ported MDF home now & outperforms any 15" I've heard. A solid design at 63lbs. And my sub amp is in the rack not a plate attached to the sub. Then the the 10" Hi Vi wieghs in @ 28lbs alone. It won't work with a plate amp mounted to it. I would have mounted a plate amp in the wall next to it if I hadn't bought the Dayton SA1000. The Dayton hums a little at idle but the hum decreases quickly with increase in volume This thing picks up right where my Chorus II's leave off. I bet it would be great with Heresys. If it wasn't so darn heavy it could easily go from the home theater to the car. Definitely worth a look if you don't have room for a 15". Consider the plans a Christmas present to all! Invidiosulus
I thought that those were plans you have to pay for??? -Josh
Riot260
$10 bucks gets you all their online plans. Their horn loaded 12 PA looks like it might take a Heresy K22 woofer, a Cornwall K601 and squeeze in a K77. With a sub to handle the lows Heresys can't handle anyway should be super efficient.
