Ironsave
I have a (new to me) set of 1980 HWO's that I recently upgraded the caps on with Crites' sonicaps. (Thanks Bob!) I love these things!!!! Best speakers I have ever owned!!!!! I currently use a Kenwood 8" 200W self powered sub; and it is decent; but fit much better when I was using my Ohm Model "E" bookshelves as my mains.... The Heresies are awesome; and I am looking for the best bang for (cheap) buck in regards to a sub that will mate (almost) seemlessly with them..... (Hoping around $250 or less) Yes I am asking alot.... [] Your suggestions are very appreciated..... Also; would the Crites Heresy woofer (upgrades) make a big difference in bass? (I plan on doing this at some point anyway......) Thanks!
Seadog
The Klipsch SW10-II is a very musical sub that IMO matches up nicely with Heresys for listening to music. They usually sell for around $200 on ebay or Craigslist. This model was was built in the mid '90s. Avoid the SW10, it apparently had problems.
