lucky5115
HiYaAll, I've found a pair of LaScalas that I plan to look at on Saturday. They're in very good condition; came from a church. Only thing I know is that they have AA xover and are like formica black covered on the outside. I guess the church covered them; the inside is black. The church also upgraded the crossovers. I think they were once cherry not sure. Sorry I don't have any more info at this point. Anyone have any ideas what they might be worth? What drivers would I expect to see? How can I tell what woofer are in them? thanks Ron
DizRotus
Start by getting the serial numbers. Next, make sure all three drivers (x2) are operational. If they're not hooked into a system, use a AA battery. When scratching the leads on the battery terminal, you should hear scratching from the squawker and tweeter and a thud from the woofer. Stuff a rag in the squawker to confirm that you hear scratching from the tweeter. They're worth what you (or someone else) are willing to pay for them. With serial numbers and photos, forum regulars can provide some guidance.
