luckyduck
My Forte IIs are placed with the rear of the speaker cabinet ten inches from the living room wall. This is as much space as I can give the passive radiators. If I were to change gears and go with a pair of front ported Chorus, I could actually gain floor space, by having the ability to move the speakers back a little. Have any of you listened to both speakers? I like the idea of the bigger room filling sound that I've read about concerning the Chorus, and I'm thinking that since I have less than optimum Forte II placement, I may actually gain bass resonse. Your thoughts?
Bill H.
Why the Idea sounds nice, money wise it would be a toss up. Chorus speakers seem to sell for More than Fortes. I don't think you would really gain that much. Used Fortes sell for 350 - 450 Used Chorus sell for 500- 800 (closer to the higher end). So it would be like owning a Car, you'd be upside down paying more to achieve better sound...........?

Bill H.
Cool. Get them and see what you think of the sound. Worse case is you can sell them and get your money back at that Price ! Good Luck.
wuzzzer
You might gain a slight amount of bass, but you'll lose the tractrix midrange that the Forte II has - a downgrade in my opinion.
