BiscuitMartian
I lost my Iphone (stolen) and I purchased an n900 to replace it. I forgot to check the compatibility w. my s4i. The N900 is configured for 4 pin headphone, so it doesn't just ignore the 4th pin and drop down to a 3 pin like most phones. The N900 is obviously using that 4th pin for something else however, and I get a nasty buzzing sound. I don't mind loosing the mic capability (if I have to...), but can anyone comment on how to get rid of the buzzing?
Professor Thump
The S4i is designed to work with Apple products only. It works also with my Blackberry but this is not the case for every BB. If I was you I would hold on to the S4i because it is one of the best products out there. In the meantime if you want to use your N900 you might try using our S2m which works with most cell phones that have a 3.5 mm jack.
abcoates
I tried following the advice about getting S2m earphones for my N900, but it turned out to be a disaster. When I plug them it, they make a loud continuous clicking noise, whether any audio is playing or not. It makes them completely unusable with an N900, sadly. Cheers, Tony.
