jrod
I think this would be a pretty decent upgrade to my system. Am I mistaken? I would be able to put the 25's up for sale to absorb some of the cost of the 82's (used, but 10/10, a decent deal at $775, right?). What do you guys think? wuzzzer
There's 3 'cosmetically challenged' pairs of RF-63s on eBay right now for $719.96 buy-it-now with free shipping. They'd be a significant upgrade from your RF-25s. http://electronics.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=klipsch+rf-63&_sacat=14969&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_dmpt=Speakers_Subwoofers&_ssn=kingpinav&_odkw=klipsch&_osacat=14969
jrod
Thanks For the reply Wuzz! Those 63's look a little rough... The 82's that I'm looking at are pretty close to mint. And, I could pick them up myself. Just not sure if it would be worth the investment (time, money).
wuzzzer
Looking solely at the numbers, the RF-82s have a little more more bass output and the newest generation Reference series is said to have a smoother top end than previous Reference speakers. It would seem like only slightly more than a lateral move to me.
jrod
Fair enough, thanks for the input Wuzz!
jrod
What about adding RF-82's, an RC-64, AND RT-10d... Would that be a sig. upgrade???
darylomer12
HUGE upgrade! Would be sweet to take full advantage of the upgrade and get a more powerful reciever with a little more headroom IMO..
jrod
Definetly my next step!! I just found this rediculous deal on the group of speakers. I absolutely realize my AVR is undersized. I'll be looking at a nice older pre/pro set-up when I go down that road. I'm really excited, I thought the 64 would have to wait for quite some time.
