Dr. Jim Mixon
Lately I've noticed no output from the left front speaker (a Khorn) at times. If I make a sudden increase then decrease in volumn manually with the volumn knob on the amp, it starts output again and will continue until I shut the HT off. Sound like old Khorn or old Onkyo problem???????????????
smokarz
if i were you, i would throw out the onkyo and give me the khorn. [] perhaps, someone else can chime in. lol
Dr. Jim Mixon
Thanks, Smokarz, that's what I was thinking too..........I believe I'll keep the Khorn though. You wouldn't want it, it's probably older than you are.
Ironsave
This might be a bit of work, but have you tried switching the speakers? ( switch the left and right speaker wires where they connect to the receiver). If the problem follows to the other speaker; very likely the receiver has the issue. If the problem stays on the same side, it is likely a loose connection/ failing component in the speaker. I am betting loose wiring..... But this is a good way to find out..... Good Luck....
