SoonerSam
I am upgrading from some 20 year old Infinity speakers, but need to do it in increments. I plan to buy KSW-12. Can I use the SS-1 as main speakers?
dougdrake2
That would be an unusual application for the SS-1s, for sure. They are designed to provide diffuse surround sound, with little imaging and focus, such as you would usually want for rear surround channels in a home theater (their intended application). For main speakers, you want great imaging, directionality, etc... all the things that are not present in the SS-1s. Why do you ask? Dutchie
agree, you need at least SF's or SP's as mains
SoonerSam
I was interested in using the SS-1 as a main speaker because the Klipsch literature states it can produce pinpoint effects as well as amgient sound. Also I need to be able to place the speakers on their sides and the SS-1s are oriented that way. Thanks for the help.
