BigCliff
My SW !2 II is not working properly. I would normally have the volume set at 5 for proper sound balance. Now I have to set it at 9 or 10 to get the same volume out of the sub. Also as I turn the volume dial up the woofer will pulsate giving out a thumping sound. Any one have an idea what the problem can be and how to fix it?
CECAA850
Did the output level of your receiver get turned down somehow? If not, try swapping cables.
BigCliff
No, the output volume out of Amp is the same. Already tried switching cables no change. Thanks for the input though.
CECAA850
If your signal is the same then you may have an issue with the amp itself. You might call Klipsch for a quote on swapping it out. They may help you troubleshoot it also.
BigCliff
Well that is what I thought it might be but I was hoping that it might be something else. From what I have been told Klipsh does not have replacement amps for this sub anymore.
CECAA850
You might try Parts Express for a similar amp otherwise it might be considered divine intervention and time for an upgrade[].
BigCliff
Well actually it has already been "retired", I was trying to fix it up so I could sell it on Craigslist. Then I would have more money to upgrade something else. We all know how that works. LOL
