Your highly regarded opinion

Hey guys and ladies,

First off let me say that this site is one of the most informative and interesting on the web.

I've just upgraded to klipsch and all I can say is WHAT? I CAN'T HEAR YOU! These things are incredible!

All I'm looking for now is your expert opinion on the sensibility of my purchase in regards to sonic matching and receiver quality.

my system:

KSB 3.1'S IN FRONT

KSC-C1 CENTER

SS-1'S IN BACK

TWO (2) YAMAHA YST-SW160 150 WATT DUAL 8" SUBS, ONE IN FRONT AND ONE IN BACK

Also, the "ks" series speakers have a metal grill. does this adversely affect the sound, should I leave them off? And lastly, the velcro pads on the SS1's grill and the Klipsch logo on the KSC-C1 have come off. How do I go about getting replacements?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey Tony .. Welcome to the forum.

As for leaving the metal grills on or off I think thats

up to personal preference I dont think it will affect

the sound I could be wrong but personally I think youll

be fine.

Recievers theres alot out there some will make your ears

bleed with klipsch and some will sound beautiful.

Most around here will recommend either of the following brands.

Denon

Harmon Kardon

Outlaw

Onkyo

Yamaha

My personal opinion I like the top 3 the best and the

outlaw 1050 www.outlawaudio.com Is amzing for its $499 price

Its just a little dated with its bells and whistles but will do 6.1

As for your parts question and the grills you can call

Klipsch Parts and order new parts.

Customer Service - 1-800-554-7724

Hope this helps and good luck with your setup youll probaly

end up owning more klipsch then you want and spend late

nights bs'in on the forums ( there nothing wrong with that is there guys? )

The 3.1 were my first home Klipsch speakers. In my opinion they would sound better with the grill off.

With 4 kids 2 dogs and 3 cats in the house it is a very robust grill to keep the woofer safe.

They are now my rears and RB 5s are my fronts. The RB 5s grill stays out of the way of the music, but is considerable more frajile.

It would be interesting to get Bob or Klipsh administrators opinion of the metall grill. It seems to be only rarely used on a Klipsch speaker.
