Cubfan
Just purchased a used pair of KG5.5. They sound remarkable, but one of the dust caps is pushed in. I can't hear that this makes a difference, but is it something I should address?
wuzzzer
Welcome to the forums! Only if you listen without the grills on and it bothers you that it looks that way. There's quite a few threads on here about how to pop the dust cap back out.
BusaDude
I've used a safety pin before to do this... just push the point through the dust cap and GENTLY lever it out. It may take a couple tries in various areas to get it completely pulled back out. I've heard of people using a vacum cleaner as well (be careful), but have never tried this myself. It won't make a difference in the sound for it to be pushed in (unless it's also torn or loose), but it's one of those things that just doesn't look right to me either...
