Pro Media 5.1 controller plug in DIN problem (broken)

Recommended Posts

So I bought a controller via e-bay and get it today, I immediately get the speakers to work and everythign sounds awesome. I have to run my wires behind my computer desk and unplug my controller, guess what the DIN connector stays plugged in and the controller wire pops out. There is like white gluish material inside the connector. It seemed this thing was repaired by a DIY person and they jerry rigged it to work. I am so pissed right now, my first and only time buying off of E-GAY!

Question is, is this an easy fix, can a local electronics place fix it?

Did you get this fixed? I finally gave up on using my controller and the onboard amp for my Promedia 5.1s and I now have a broken amp and a working control pod that I was going to throw out. If you need a new (used) controller, just reply to this post and it will send it to my email. I'll send it out after we establish some communication.
