Can I attenuate my LaScalas without also attenuating my subs with a Mac MX 113?

This has been bugging me for quite some time...I have a pair of LaScalas, pair of Klipsch THX Ultra subs w/ KA 1000 amp, a Mac 2105 and 113. When I use the subs, I run my bass/treble knobs flat. If I don't, I can hear the bass level increase on the subs, as well as the LaScalas. I've read over the years that attenuating a speaker twice can be harmful and I don't want to damage either one of those subs. It's not a huge deal, but it'd be nice to hear the system with a few db's of bass added to the LaScalas, in addition to the low end of the subs.

This may not even make sense, so please ignore if it doesn't. Thanks!

Jeff
