Do I need an amp to power my front speakers?? ( help please!! )

Your system should sound fine as is, but adding a separate power amp can not only increase the power available to the speakers, it may improve the clarity of the sound. This is because receivers' built-in power amps are generally of the "mid-fi" class, while a premium (not cheap) separate power amp may be a better-designed "hi-fi" unit that will sound better.

Your best course of action is probably to listen to what you have and get used to its sound, so you can appreciate any improvements you make in the future. When that time comes, it's best to make one change at a time, so you can see what makes an improvement and what merely changes the sound.
