Mighty_Doctor
I have a pair of RVX-54 speakers, each of them is 150 w max continuous. My current receiver is Yamaha RX-V765 and it's 95W Per Channel. Considering this, do I need to add an amp for the receiver to fully power up those front speakers? I am new to audio field and your help is much appreciated!
Islander
Your system should sound fine as is, but adding a separate power amp can not only increase the power available to the speakers, it may improve the clarity of the sound. This is because receivers' built-in power amps are generally of the "mid-fi" class, while a premium (not cheap) separate power amp may be a better-designed "hi-fi" unit that will sound better. Your best course of action is probably to listen to what you have and get used to its sound, so you can appreciate any improvements you make in the future. When that time comes, it's best to make one change at a time, so you can see what makes an improvement and what merely changes the sound.
