oldenough
Its quite disturbing and I am glad that someone finally had the guts to show the questionable boarder practices that Israel does to its neighbors (They had to cross from Jordan into Israel as they do not allow you to cross from any other of its neighboring countries. Also Jeremy Clarkson had to use two passports (one clean) and one that was stamped from the other middle eastern countries that he went through because Israel will deny you entry if you entered any of those countries) Not to take this thread of topic..but...it is Israel's neighboring states that do not allow people holding passports with an Israeli stamp to enter. There are certain circumstances that require some visitors to enter Israel thru Jordan and cross the Allenby Bridge. Many people who know they are going on to Arab countries after visiting Israel hold two passports, so that they do not show an Israeli stamp. You could at one time ask that your passport not be stamped, and the Israelis would oblige by putting your entry stamp on a seperate sheet. This all came about because of the refusal by the Arab States to recognise what they call "The Entity", they neither recognise the State of Israel, nor even utter the word. Jay481985
I think the Top Gear started picking up in their third season or so when James May and Richard Hammond both got on. Before that it was more serious of a car show where they had weekly best buy used cars and the such. When they all came together, it started to all click. In fact in many international polls, Top Gear is considered to be the top tv show and always is around the top 10. I think their specials are always good. If you can watch them, its worth the watch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear:_Bolivia_Special Excerpts, the cars underwent minor modifications to cross a river, including non-standard use of certain products: Tampax tampons to waterproof a fuel tank cap, and Vaseline and condoms to waterproof parts of the engine. They had each taken a Viagra tablet to try to prevent high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE) from altitude hypoxia. Series 15, Episode 1 - James tests the Toyota Hilux Invincible from the Polar Special by driving it up an Icelandic Volcano USA Road Trip - eremy, Richard and James set off on a road trip up the east coast of the United States in a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Porsche 997 GT3 RS and a Ferrari 458 Italia. "Series 14, Episode 1" - Romanian GT road trip to find the acclaimed Transfagarasan highway http://www.220.ro/vacanta/Top-Gear-Transfagarasan-Romania-2009-HD/klKVlfGHFT/ (Watch this one) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear:_Vietnam_Special Okay there are a lot more to watch but for now. As with crazy stuff yeah, watch this as they play soccer with some small toyotas and VW Honestly I prefer the look and functionalities of european cars. I think the Fiat 155 which is coming to America will be a hit as it is in Europe. They make sense in cramped city environments. I am really looking into the Ford Focus as they are finally bringing the international model (The first Ford Focus was an international model then they parted and made two different models, one for europe and one for America) Also they recently brought the Ford Fiesta which Top Gear did a crazy, amazing review driving it in a shopping mall against a corvette. Its both ways and its quite silly. And in that episode, they were going through the arab states into Israel. It was mentioned that you cannot enter Israel if you entered any boardering states except Jordan. The problem with Israel is complex and honestly no one has standing anymore, its a battle fought in people's forefathers and then some. The problem is that its an ongoing battle that people forgot why they are really fighting for except the reason to just fight. I do though diminish the Israeli's side with the situation they create in Palestine. That issue was highlighted to me by an Jewish professor which has gone there over 20 times and written a few books about the situation. He criticises the Israeli government and stance for the horrable conditions and "war crimes" that are done by the Israelis.
