Cal Blacksmith
Hi and welcome. Any major mfg should do fine. My personal preference is Yamaha but others are very happy with other brands. You don't give a price range bue in the sub ~$700 range, most any of the major makers should do fine. Look for a combo of features and connections that you need. With more info, we can give more help![]
indyhawg
What is your price range? I auditioned a Marantz receiver today and was impressed. If I was to buy an AVR right now, that would be at the top of my list.
Stolenrs
I just picked up new a Yahmaha RX-A700 brought it home and hoooked everything up, I got it for the HDMI connectivity. I hooked up my PS3 and my Dish and ran pre-outs to my Carver 806x. I powered everything up and started getting a buzz out of my front stage. I unhooked everything took it back and got the RX-A800 brought it home and the got the same buzz. Sigh.... So I spent a day tracking it down, thinking that I have a ground loop, never had this problem with the Inegra reciever I had, but wasn't running HDMI through it either. So it seems that I have figured it out that the buzz is comming from the PS3 connection, the wierd thing is that if I unhook everything and hook it back up and watch tv there is no buzz, but as soon as I switch to the PS3 the buzz comes back and then dosen't go away. Not real sure what to do, two totally different recievers same problem, have tried to see if it is a PS3 thing, no luck so far seriously considering taking it back and going back to Integra, such as the 40.1. I really like the GUI feature on the A800 to.... ~ross
PhS_belgium
My actual AV Receiver is a Yamaha RX-V861 .... and I'm also very happy with this brand, Pure Direct makes the difference when listening to music! The new RX-V667 seems to have all the connexions I need. ... or maybe the more expensive RX-V867 ? Thanks for your advice.
Army Al
Since we have similar systems I would recommend the Yamaha RX V567 or V667 for the following reasons below. 1) Purchased the Yamaha RX V567 used on eBay for $225 2) 3D capable and Audio Return Channel (latest technology this week anyway) 3) 7.1, 1080p upscaling, on screen viewing 4) Able to bi amp your Klipsch F2 speakers 5) Last but not least, 1 HDMI output and 4 HDMI inputs ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Man Cave Office 17ft by 14ft by 8.5ft carpeted VISIO 47in HD TV Flat Screen on the Wall Directv HD-24 DVR with Multi Room Viewing Samsung BD C6500 Blu Ray HD DVD Player Onkyo TX NR609 7.2 used as a 5.2 plus Bi Amping the F3s Klipsch Synergy C2 Klipsch Synergy F3 (Pair) Klipsch Synergy B3 (Pair) Klipsch Synergy 12in Sub (Pair) _______________________________________________________________________ Thearter Room 22ft by 15ft by 9ft carpeted Samsung 67in HD TV DLP Directv HD-24 DVR with Multi Room Viewing Samsung BD C6500 HD DVD Player Onkyo TX NR609 7.2Magnaplanar I (Pair) Klipsch Synergy S2 (Pair) Klipsch Synergy SL (Pair) Klipsch Synergy 12in Sub Klipsch Icon VC-
peshewah
If I was looking to buy a AV reciever I would go with Marntz. You might check out accessories4less. Good luck.
