bubba-b
Wanted to know if there's a somewhat significant sonic difference in using one or the other as side surrounds? Am looking to expand my 3.1 setup (rf-83's/rc-64/rw-12d) to 7.1 and am wondering if i should use towers (rf-62) or surrounds (rs-62) on stands. Room dimensions are 12' x 15'. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
Danclarkin
They both sound quite similar, however i think you would have the edge with the RS as its horns and drivers are facing left and right to throw sound around the room. While i think the RF-62 would sound better as a speaker, the Rs would definitely do a better job as surrounds as their sweet spot is thrown in two directions. Zen Traveler
I gave you an opinion at AVS and prefer using my RF-3 Towers as SS converting 5.1 to 7.1 than use my RS-7s listed in my sig.
