Inkabodpain
I have a poineer vsx94txh that needs repair I believe the cost will be close to 400.00 one of the processors needs replacing . Ok so my question is will a repaired pioneer vsx94txh at 400.00 repaired be a better receiver than a new onkyo tx 808 . for 698.00.
willland
I know I am suggesting something you did not request but I think that if you can afford to invest $700.00 in a receiver, why not buy a used pre/pro since you already have outboard amplification. A higher end pre/pro should offer better overall prformance than a mid level receiver. http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?homeproc&1306991183&/Onkyo-Pro-pr-sc885p-includes-s http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?homeproc&1307466874&/Integra-DTC-9.8-Superb-conditi http://cgi.videogon.com/cgi-bin/cl.pl?prea71ch&1306214184&&&/-Integra-DTC-9-8-Black http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?homeproc&1305395682&/NAD-T175-av-surround-processor Just a thought. cfelliot
Are you using your current pioneer as a pre/pro. It looks like you are from your equipment list. If so, I am using a 808 as a prepro with great results.
