Shodrewken
Could I hook this up to my yamaha rx-v1700 as my power amp and use the yamaha just for my processor? If I can how do I connect the two together? Thanks! Andrew
inder19
Looking at a picture of the rx-v1700 it does look to have pre-outs so you should be able to simply connect rca cables from the pre-outs to the rca inputs on the XPA-5.
CECAA850
If you have "pre-out" connections on the back of your receiver, just go from there to the "input" jacks on the amp.

Shodrewken
Ya it does have pre-outs. So I would the hook the speakers up to the XPA-5 then just connect the pre-outs from the yamaha to the XPA-5 via RCA cable if I'm understanding this correctly? Now, can I just keep my sub hooked up to the yamaha because it is self powered? Thanks for the help guys I'm still learning =P
