Running Crown amp Thru Denon AVR3805 for RF-83's

Probably not the best choice in amps for home application but I am sure it will work.

Wouldn't you run your right/left preouts from your Denon to the right/left imputs on the Crown and out from the right/left Crown binding posts to the RF-83's?

I think you would have to get an RCA to XLR adapter to make it happen.

Thanks Bill, I really appreciate your response. I am just now getting into a higher grade of audio so sometimes there are no responses for actual honest questions by some who think these beginner questions are too simple for their vast knowledge when all some are asking is for help... I was wondering after looking at the connections, and I am just asking, could the amp be connected in the preouts for the Front speaker and the speakers remain in the Front terminals of the Denon? Or will the speaker have to be connected directly to the amp "speaker" terminals? Would the powered sub react normally?

Jhvenier I,had the exact same problem when my pre/amp went south and had to use my avr instead. I did have a h/t system also and was told to disconnect the front left and right spkrs and run an I-c from my Adcom gfa555 to my Yamaha RX-V 665 and then both systems will not play at the same time which was the problem I was having. Now I can use the avr's pre-outs and have a 2-chl system.

Thanks for your response leftwinger, please excuse my lack of knowledge with audio lingo but, I am learning alot as I go along. Can you please clarify your response so an amatuer like me can fully understand. I am not familiar with l-c? Did you run a lxr-rca from your receiver preouts to the outs of your amp? Did you have to run your speakers off of the amp or leave them in the "fronts" of your avr?
