JasonJCarney
In another setup option.... Would a Pioneer sc-37 (140 wpc x7, 8 ohm, class-D) be compatible with a Anthem VPA-7 amplifier (105 wpc x7, 8 ohm, class AB). would it be too much/ not enough....*** I need to do my classes You could use that amp. Cause your avr 140watts is only true when u are running 2 channels. If you used your amp for the 4 surrounds and your avr for your front 3 I think u would b getting more power. I don't think it will sound any better though. An XPA-3 would be even better or if your room is really big an XPA-5 with your avr running the 2 rf63's I think would be your best option. That system would really crank. I like the idea of floor standers in the back if you have the room cause I like to go all channel stereo sometimes and it wiould be awesome. cornfedksboy
The Pioneer Elite actually does a great job at maintaining output to 5 and 7 channels (as opposed to a Yamaha for instance). With 5 channels driven, you are still at about 97% efficiency with some breathing room. 7 channels bumps you down to 90% efficiency.
