Vito Nicola
Hi friends a greeting to the whole community Klipsch and the first time that I write because I have difficulty in the forum with the English wanted to ask what may be the cutoff frequency for the crossover on my sub with the RF83 give me some advice .. Thanks. RF83 FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 29Hz-21kHz + /-3dB. (30-100Hz subwoofer crossover inf. Var.)
StephenM
I believe ~40-50Hz would work reasonably well. Even under quasi-anechoic conditions, the RF-83 was 3dB down at 37Hz. In room extension will be a tad deeper still. http://www.hometheater.com/content/klipsch-reference-rf-83-speaker-system-ht-labs-measures

Vito Nicola
RF83e RF7 you think that and the best since the rf7 and returned to customer demand in the market??
StephenM
Have not heard both in order to make a real comparison; from what I've read on this board, both have their fans, although it is acknowledged that they do have a somewhat different sound. Personally, if I owned the 83s, I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep over RF-7s. However, ultimately, the question is, are you happy with the RF-83s? Vito Nicola
Certainly and a great speaker and it is true that, and also a matter of taste. I've never heard because the RF seven were no longer for sale so I was asking myself the question.
Jay481985
I think the RF-83 were too big for the consumer market. Also I usually leave the rf-83in large and do not cutoff the frequency.
