Leb_CRX
I am currently reworking my basement ht area and looking to get a new cabinet for my components...due to wall size limitations (only 9 wide), I am forced to be creative with my subwoofer (15 inch velo) I found a cabinet where the subwoofer will fit in the middle section, but I am concerned with it being under the TV (panny plasma) and so close to the receiver/br player/htpc, it may cause potential issues? the sub is front porter, and will be facing the front if that makes a difference any wisdom appreciated the stand: the center will be above the tv
JasonJCarney
I have my subs in cabinets as well. The main issue (assuming it still sounds good when in the cabinet) is the vibrations. I use a gel mat under both my subs. I also use small bits of foam under each leg of my equipment (same cabinet) to help avoid an unwanted vibrations. Seems to work pretty good. cornfedksboy
I would consider moving the sub to a rear corner or side wall near the couch in order to free up front wall realestate. Since the sound is non-directional, placement is about reflections and maximum output, not front soundstage.
