seagull
Hi Guys, Just looking for a bit of bottom end slam. on my La Scala11's Noticed there's a lot of forumerers that suggest a sub would be the way to go. I thought active might be easiest , but how the heck do you wire one in, As most hi fi Pre's don't have a sub output.

djk
That won't work because the level is not controled by the volume control. Use the speaker wire inputs on the sub.
psg
Right, either a sub with a builtin crossover and speaker-level inputs and outputs, or... A La Scala would sound much better with a horn-loaded sub. Unfortunately they are mostly DIY, and then you'd need an external amp and crossover.
