Loudogp250
I have made some changes to my home theater and need some guidance. I recently sold my onkyo 607 to purchase a receiver with pre outs. I was shooting for a onkyo 809. I know someone selling a integra dtr 6.8 for $240. I'm thinking I could purchase this then get a nice amp and pass on the onkyo. What do you all think? mustang guy
At that price grab it and don't look back. It actually has Audyssey like my 5.9. It works very well. It is a good receiver on it's own. Save the amp money also. The only thing I will say is give it plenty of ventilation. I currently have a DTR 5.9 and a DTR 4.6 in operation. mustang guy
You won't need any amp. At least not on this system. These have very clean sound.
jrod
Yup, tough to beat that price. As you can see, I run a 6.9 and really like it. Haven't felt the need to upgrade, it does everything I need. Mustang was right, make sure it has plenty of ventilation... These babies run quite warm!! Enjoy!
Loudogp250
Thanks for the input. I'll be moving to the reference series early next year for my theater and don't want to have to buy a new receiver.
Loudogp250
I now have the Integra and after running audyssey the sound when watching blu ray movies has improved over my onkyo 607.
